Well this was the first run of any significant length I’ve taken by myself.  I had never really thought about quitting before on any of the runs I’ve taken, but this one was a little different.  After about the first half mile I considered going back inside and just running tomorrow instead of today.  Then I just said screw it and knocked out the 3 miles anyway.  It was pretty cool, a brisk 30 degrees with some light snow at times.  I just ran the ‘horseshoe’ in the neighborhood here in L-burg.

I had to run across some ice 6 times, slipped a couple times and fell on my face once, no I’m joking about falling on my face.  I didn’t do that.  This was my most inconsistent run so far (check out my running log).  I am terrible at keeping my pace when I’m running by myself.  Glad I’m not running the marathon by myself.

I’ve decided that American Gladiators isn’t as good as I hoped it would be.

good job. Sometimes you just have to man up and do the thing. Keep it up.

The runs by yourself are the character runs. To me, this is the real value of this journey. Good job!
